This edition also contains a translation of the chapter Musique (entitled Sobre la música en general, pp. 175-187), but for some unknown reason this is based on the earlier version in the Voyage Musical. The translation of the fragments from À Travers Chants, based on the original 1862 edition, aims at staying as close to the original as possible in every respect. See also: Traité d’Instrumentation, Voyage Musical, Les Soirées de l’Orchestre, Les Grotesques de la Musique
