The text on the Berlioz side of the medal reads:
Le 7 MARS 1903 LE CENTENAIRE DE LA NAISSANCE D'HECTOR BERLIOZ A ETE CELEBRE
A MONTE CARLO
(On 7 March 1903 the centenary of Hector Berlioz’s birth was celebrated in
Monte Carlo]*
The text on the Prince Albert I side reads:
SOUS LES AUSPICES DE S.A.S. LE PRINCE DE MONACO LA GRANDE ŒUVRE D’HECTOR
BERLIOZ LA DAMNATION DE FAUST A ETE POUR LA 1RE FOIS ADAPTEE A LA
SCENE AU THEATRE DE MONTE CARLO LE 18 FEVRIER 1893
[Under the auspices of HRH the Prince of Monaco Hector Berlioz’s great
work La Damnation de Faust was performed for the first time on stage at the
Monte Carlo Theatre]
* Berlioz was born on 11 December 1803; the exact centenary of his birth was on 11 December 1903.

The plaquette was made by Dupré to celebrate Berlioz’s
100th anniversary in 1903.
On the front, to Berlioz’s right is the score of Les Troyens. The Latin text
on the scroll in front of him reads: ...INSANO CASSANDRAE INCENSUS AMORE
[INFLAMED WITH AN INSANE LOVE FOR CASSANDRA]. On the back the caption
reads: GRENOBLE ET LA CÔTE SAINT ANDRÉ A HECTOR BERLIOZ. Both sides of the plaquette are signed G Dupré.
